Eligibility Criteria for UPSC CSE:

Nationality: A candidate must be a citizen of India. For IAS and IPS, the candidate must be a citizen of India. For other services, a candidate can be either a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal, Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, intending to settle permanently.
Age Limit: The candidate must be between 21 and 32 years old as of August 1 of the examination year. There are age relaxations for candidates belonging to certain categories.
Educational Qualifications: The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Final-year students can also apply but need to submit proof of passing the examination at the time of the Main Examination.
Number of Attempts: General category candidates can attempt the exam six times, while candidates from the OBC category have nine attempts. There is no restriction on attempts for SC/ST candidates.
